About us

Our background at Blue Box lasers is varied, to say the least. Simon was originally from a farming background before he moved into engineering in the late 1980s, working for a variety of companies and industries to get as much experience in fabrication and mechanical engineering as possible, culminating in running the only British manufacturer of CO2 laser machines.

Ashley started his career as an apprentice at the same British manufacturer, gaining a Level 3 in Engineering with distinctions all the way, moving on to be a supervisor and then manager. He has a vast knowledge of everything to do with lasers, whatever the manufacturer, as well as knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
